Conditions Defined

MIB

     Mint in Box: The ornament and the box are in mint condition.

SDB

     Slightly Damaged Box: The ornament itself is in mint condition but the box is slightly damaged. The box may have, for example, a slight tear       on the lid, a crease, scuffing, etc.

DB

     Damaged Box: The ornament itself is in mint condition but the box is more damaged. The box may have, for example, a dent, be cut or torn, a     side crushed, etc.

NB

     No Box: The ornament itself is in mint condition but the ornament does not come with a box.


MNT

     Mint No Tag: The ornament itself is in mint condition but the box is missing the price tag that is usually attached to the box.

MIP

     Mint in Package: The ornament itself is in mint condition and comes in a the plastic bag as originally issued.

MIB - Colorway

     Mint in Box - Colorway: The ornament itself is in mint condition and comes in the box. The item is a colorway. Most colorway boxes have a gold seal in the corner stating the item is a colorway. Very early colorways did not have a special designation on the box. A Colorway ornament is an ornament that is same as another ornament issued by Hallmark but the item was produced in a different color. Colorways are usually produced in much smaller quantities are considered more rare.

SPOT

     Spotted: The ornament has age spots. This is a common condition with older glass balls. Usually its minor dark spots on the bottom of the glass bulb

YELW

     Yellowed: The ornament is yellowed. A common situation usually caused by exposure to sun and fading. The white portion of an ornament fades yellow in parts of an ornament.

OPEN

     Open: This condition usually refers to puzzles. It means that the puzzle has been opened but all pieces are enclosed.
